Can I travel while my renewal is in process?
If you must leave Mexico while your Mexico residency renewal is being processed, you must request an exit and re-entry permit before you leave. You will be granted 60 days to return and pick up your residency card.
Leaving Mexico without this permit can result in your renewal being canceled and requiring you to start over.
