These are the official government fees for Mexico temporary resident card renewal in 2026.
They are paid directly to the immigration authority in Mexican pesos, with a visa or Mastercard credit card.

What documents are normally required?
For most Mexico temporary resident card renewal cases, you will need:
- your current Temporary Resident Card
- your passport
- appointment
- the renewal application
- petition letter
- proof of your Mexican address (when required by your local office). So far, most of the INM Immigration offices do not require this.
Can I travel while my renewal is in process?
If you must leave Mexico while your Mexico residency renewal is being processed, you must request an exit and re-entry permit before you leave. You will be granted 60 days to return and pick up your residency card.
Leaving Mexico without this permit can result in your renewal being canceled and requiring you to start over.
