Updating Your Address After Establishing Residency
Should you choose my assistance in Tijuana or Rosarito, it is essential to update your address at the nearest INM Immigration office once you rent or purchase your home in Mexico. I will guide you through this process and prepare the necessary documents, ensuring a smooth and stress-free move.
Three Easy Steps How to apply for Temporary or Permanent Mexico Residency visa in the Mexican Consulates in the U.S.:
Step 1: Mexican Consulate Application
Apply in person for a TR or PR Mexico Visa at the Mexican Consulate or Embassy in the USA.
Step 2: Border or Airport Verification
One to 180 days after visa approval, verify it and obtain an entry stamp and an FMM FORM FOR CANJE at the Mexico border or airport.
Step 3: Resident Card Exchange
Thirty days from verification, exchange the Temporary or Permanent Mexico Visa and the FMM FOR CANJE for the Temporary Resident card or Permanent Resident Card at the closest Mexico INM office where you will live.
Dual Citizenship Possibilities
Obtaining Temporary or Permanent Residency in Mexico will not impact your US citizenship. Additionally, after residing in Mexico for two or five years, you can become a Mexican citizen, as the US allows dual nationality.
