Four-Year Mexico Residency Through Regularization (RNE) Program
Introduction
The INM Mexico Immigration has extended the Regularization program through 2024. Notably, this program is unique because it allows you to obtain a Mexico Residency for four years without needing to provide proof of income.
What is the Regularization (RNE) Program?
Convenient Application Process
The regularization program offers a convenient way to apply for Mexico Residency directly at the Mexico INM Immigration office. In addition, with this program, you can bypass the need to visit the Mexican Consulate, which often involves the hassle of finding appointments and dealing with their inconsistent requirements.
What is the Benefit of the Regularization Program?
Extended Residency Period
First and foremost, one of the significant benefits of the regularization program is the opportunity to secure four years of Residency, which is a substantial increase compared to the one year offered at the Mexican Consulate. As a result, this extended period provides a sense of security and stability for your future in Mexico.
What are the Requirements?
Proof of Prior Visit
In order to qualify, you need to prove that you visited Mexico before December 31, 2022, and were granted a tourist card for 180 days. Specifically, you can provide any documentation, such as travel records, passport stamps, or other relevant documents.
What is the Cost of the Regularization Program?
Total Fees
The total cost of the regularization program is approximately $1,000.00. However, this amount does not include the lawyer or professional facilitator fee.
How Do I Know If I Qualify?
Prequalification Process
As your professional facilitator, I, Jorge Gonzalez, will prequalify you for the regularization program. Once you meet the necessary criteria, then you can proceed with the process. Therefore, this clear qualification process should give you confidence in your eligibility.

What Happens After the Four Years of Residency?
Transition to Permanent Residency
After the initial four years of Residency, you can then change to permanent Residency, which is for a lifetime and does not require renewal nor proof of income. This means that you will enjoy the benefits of living in Mexico without the need for frequent renewals. Furthermore, the transition to permanent Residency ensures long-term stability and peace of mind, as you will no longer need to meet any income requirements.
