RENEWAL PETITION LETTER IN SPANISH ADDRESSED TO INM
RENEWAL FM3 FEE 1294.00, PESOS
Five photographs (2.5X3 cm), 3 front and 2 right profile white background with forehead and ears uncovered, and without earrings or eyeglasses, black … and white or color are accepted must be in matte finish. Instant glossy photographs are not accepted, he FM3 photos / pictures can be taken in any photo place in Mexico the cost is about $13.00, for a set of five.

THE MEXICAN CONSULATES IN USA EFFECTIVE AUGUST 1, 2010, DO NOT RENEW THE FM3 OR FM2 ANYMORE. FM3 AND FM2 HOLDERS MUST RENEW THE FM3 OR FM2 BEFORE EXPIRES IN ANY MEXICO IMMIGRATION OFFICE.
I LOST MY FMM VISA FORM WHAT SHOULD I DO?
Step one: Make a police report
Step two: Contact JORGE GONZALEZ at Jorge@sandiegoleisure.com or call him at 619-341-7136 and he will advise you what to do.
Note: when you depart Mexico by air at the airport the Mexico Immigration agent will pick it the FMM VISA FORM make sure you get an exit stamp. When you depart Mexico by land it is very difficult to return the FMM VISA FORM because Mexico Immigration office is hard to find, unless you are familiar with the area.
If you DO NOT find immigration OFFICE to return the FMM VISA FORM try the closest Mexican Consulate in your area and return it, otherwise you will have hard time to obtain a new one especially if you travel frequently on business trips by land.
The FM2 and FM3 are valid for 365 days and need to be renew every year before they expire. You find the expiration day on the back of the FM2 OR FM3..
The Mexican Consulates in the U.S.A. Effective
August 1, 2010, do not issue NOR renew the FM3 and FM2 VISAS anymore.

Mexico Immigration Institute INM is closed for Christmas and New year holidays from December 18th thru January 3rd. If you have an FM3 or FM2 that needs to be renew you must file before the 18th or on January 3rd when they reopen. It is a new rule that started September , 2011, if you file one day late Immigration will return your application and you will have to start all over and the years accumulated will be lost.
